Day 6 Recap

It was, yet again, another early morning wakeup and a day of mostly driving. On this day, however, our tour guide (that’s Doug, if you don’t know our dynamic 😉) decided to go a bit rogue and make a few unscheduled pit stops along the way from South Dakota to Wyoming! They were a great way to break up the drive and really fun to check out. I’m exhausted and out of words, so I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story…

Deadwood, South Dakota was such a unique
little town loaded with character!
This stop was about 35 minutes out of the way
but definitely worth checking out!
The line to get into the official “park” was super long, as expected, but you could still take in the views from afar. Just before the entrance, there is a Trading Post and we took these pictures on their back deck!
9:30pm – we finally made it to the front
entrance of Yellowstone National Park!
